What started as a one-time community project to show support and appreciation to law enforcement officers in Seattle has become the Blue Hero Project: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization passionate about supporting our law enforcement community.
Our mission is to provide support, appreciation and encouragement to law enforcement officers and their families across the Northwest. We primarily do this through agency visits, where we bring a wagon full of snacks and drinks as a tangible expression of our support and appreciation, while also hosting law enforcement family events and assisting officers and agencies in times of need.
About Blue Hero Project
Inspired by other police wives raising money for treats for local law enforcement, Diane decided to do the same and asked her community to join her in buying snacks for Seattle-area police departments as a small way to show their support.
Within one week, 55+ people from the community donated and pulled together enough money to bless 10+ departments with snacks and drinks.
As time went on and donations continued to come in, Diane and her husband, decided to launch Blue Hero Project and turn their ‘one-time’ idea into a nonprofit organization.
As of May 2024, Blue Hero Project has done 151 department visits in the Northwest, providing snacks and drinks for about 4,500 law enforcement officers.
Our mission is to continue showing officers support and appreciation as we visit 3-4 departments each month, bringing a variety of snacks, drinks and Bibles for LEO Outreach Kits as a small token of our appreciation.
